A Luton man has been sentenced to 20 months behind bars for dealing drugs and breaching a suspended sentence for other drugs supply offences.
Zion Selassie-Yoseph, 20, of Binder Close, Luton, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and obstructing a police officer.
On December 2, 2019, officers conducted a stop and search of Selassie-Yoseph and found 12 bags of cannabis. This offence breached his suspended sentence for a previous conviction for possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine.
He was sentenced on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Luton Crown Court to 14 months for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, six months for possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, to run consecutively, and one month for obstructing a constable in the execution of their duty, to run concurrently.
In total, he will spend 20 months in a young offender institution.
