Retired musician, Charles Evans, has turned his hand to drawing humorous cartoons to reflect the lighter side of life under lockdown, all in aid of the NHS.
Charles, of Kempston, Bedford, has so far produced over 25 funny scenarios of people dealing with the everyday problems that might occur, with social distancing taken to extremes.
Charles has a JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/charles-evans5 in aid of NHS staff and volunteers caring for Covid-19 patients, through the Association of NHS Charities.
Anyone giving over £50 will be offered a full set of Charles’s 25 or more brilliant cartoons as a record of these strange times.
From small doodle sketches on dog walking, the cartoons have developed into more elaborate scenes with tandem cyclists shopping, hair cutting scenes and choral isolating to a full Roll of Honour for these strange times.
Charles is also playing on his keyboard for Thursdays Clap for carers. Charles said: “Even a fire engine stopped and clapped”
