Bedfordshire pensioner Captain Tom Moore has been making national headlines with his sponsored walk of his garden.
Now heading towards £13Million in sponsorship, the 99-year-old war veteran of Marston Moretaine pledged to walk 100 lengths of his garden before his 100th birthday and seek support for the NHS.
His story has taken off and at the last count the fund had exceeded £1.9M and rising fast.
The cash is going towards NHS Charities Together who thanked Tom and his family on BBC Breakfast TV on Tuesday April 14th
