To commemorate Captain Tom Moore’s fundraising mission of walking 100 laps of his garden to raise money for the NHS, Bedford Hospital will be naming new landscaped gardens after the inspirational Captain.

Plans have already been drawn up to refurbish the garden area outside the main entrance on Kempston Road and transform the space into a tranquil and calming environment for patients that will include resting/seating areas and sensory plants.

The plans even include a landscaped walk feature in the shape of the number 100 as an extra special tribute to Captain Tom.

Various members of staff who have looked after Captain Tom over the years at Bedford Hospital couldn’t wait to send him their praise and best wishes.

Some of these staff have recorded video messages wishing him a very happy birthday but to also thank him for the amazing fundraising for the NHS.
