Joyous news from Bedford Hospital

Cissy Quince born a nine years ago at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital.

With the endless stream of bad news in the press and on the TV, it’s a pleasure to have something uplifting to report.

Figures given to the Bulletin from Bedford Hospital, record that since the Covid-19 ‘lock-down’ on March 23, there have been two sets of twins born.

Along with these four babies there have been another 247 births, making a total of 251 new lives being started in these surreal times.

We wish the 251 babies and their proud parents, good luck for the future and with the support of our great NHS a fulfilling healthy life.

(The number of Covid-19 related deaths at Bedford Hospital up to May 6, stood at 126.)
