On Monday, June 8, a Biddenham man pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving after his white Mercedes crashed in Bedford.
Sunil Chandi, 32, crashed the car into a tree in Barkers Lane at around 10.30pm on May 14, 2020.
It ended up in bushes and undergrowth and also damaged a lamp post.
The passenger in the car was airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.
At Luton crown court Mr Chandi, of Deep Spinney, Biddenham, appeared via Skype to plead guilty.
Judge Barbara Mensah adjourned sentence until 30 June.
