Appeal for information following robbery in a Luton park

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed at knifepoint in Luton on Saturday, June 27.

The incident happened at around 7.30pm when the victim was walking in the park in Runley Road, when a man approached him with a knife demanding money and made off with his mobile phone. 

The offender is described as black, around six foot tall and skinny.

He was wearing a black knee length puffa coat with a black fur hood. 

Detective Constable Richard Marshall, from Bedfordshire Police’s Crime Investigation Team, said: “This brazen robbery happened in the early evening so we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at this time or is able to help us identify the offender to please get in touch. Any information, no matter how small, can help us with our enquiries.”
