Two men have been arrested in connection with an incident in Leighton Buzzard on the evening of Wednesday, August 27, 2020, which resulted in two men needing hospital treatment.
Just before 9pm, police received reports of an altercation involving a group of five men outside a public house in Lake Street. Emergency services attended and two of the men were taken to hospital.
Two men, both in their 20s, have been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and are currently in police custody for questioning.
Detective Chief Inspector Graham Bates, from the force’s Crime Investigation Team, said: “This is despicable behaviour and we are currently following several lines of enquiry.
“We would urge anyone with information that could assist us with establishing the circumstances around this incident to get in touch.”
