A421 road closures to allow for removal of temporary bridge

0

The A421 between the Eagle Farm Roundabout up to M1 Junction 13 will be closed temporarily from 8pm Friday, September 4 to 6am Monday, September 7, (or earlier if the works are completed sooner).

This closure is needed to allow for the removal of the temporary utility bridge and undertake other works including carriageway surfacing and road markings. The Cranfield Road Bridge will then be open to the public.

There will also be closures to the road from Friday, 11 September at 8pm until 6am on Monday, 14 September (or earlier if our works are completed sooner).

This closure will allow works to be carried out under where the temporary bridge was located together with more resurfacing works, safety barrier works and road markings.

Diversions

While the M1 will be open, motorists should be aware that Highways England are closing the slip roads at Junction 14 of the M1 on Friday night and therefore the M1 should not be used as a diversion. Please follow the signed diversion route.
