Police appeal for information following suspected arson in Wootton

Bedfordshire Police are investigating a suspected arson in the early hours of Sunday, September 27, in Harris Way, Wootton. 

Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a report of a fire at approximately 2.30am and notified the police of the incident.

Emergency services attended and the address was safely evacuated and the fire was extinguished. 

Detective Sergeant Simon Hancock, who is investigating this incident, said: “Thank fully no one was hurt during this incident and the damage was limited to the front door of the property. 

“We are currently following a number of lines of enquiry and believe that the fire might have been deliberate. We are keen to speak to anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident.”
