Following the disastrous situation on the B530 today, businesses on Kempston’s Interchange retail park, already hammered by Covid-19 are calling for action.

Bedford Borough Council announced the road closure for ‘necessary’ works early in September, however people are asking: “Could they not have foreseen the level of disruption that has occurred?”

Shoppers have been grid locked for several hours and it has taken the Police to intervene to get the traffic moving again.

Angry motorists are asking for an explanation from the people in charge (sic) Councillor Charles Royden, Deputy Mayor & Portfolio Holder for Environment, Highways and Transport!
