Actor, comedian and impressionist John Sessions has died at his London home from a heart condition at the age of 67.

The Ayrshire-born entertainer was well known as a panellist on ’80s and ’90s TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway? and also appeared on QI and Have I Got News For You.

Other credits included Stella Street, Spitting Image and Just William and he also acted in films, such as Kenneth Branagh’s Henry V.

His family moved from Scotland to Bedford when he was three and he was later a pupil at Bedford Modern School.
