New online car buying site gets behind the British Motor Show

One of the most innovative names in automotive has thrown its weight behind the British Motor Show in a move that underlines the event’s value to a rapidly evolving car-buying public.

The online car buying platform, cinch, has committed to a five-year headline sponsorship of the show from 2021, making its main partner until 2026.

The deal means that cinch will have frontline visibility at the British Motor Show. It will also support the hugely popular Pop-Up Motor Show at Basingstoke, a new concept introduced to meet government ‘Good to Go’ guidelines; having attracted almost 18,000 visitors in its first two weeks of opening at Festival Place with the show planning to re-open on December 3, and with more pop-up venues planned throughout 2021.

cinch is a ground-breaking online platform whose mission is simple: remove the faff that makes finding and buying cars trickier than it needs to be.

Customers are able to buy online with free home delivery and a 14-day money back guarantee, all cinch cars are under seven-years-old with less than 70,000 miles on the clock, so you’re guaranteed to get that ‘new car’ feeling.

The launch of cinch follows research that found 64% of British drivers would now consider buying a car online, with 71% confirming that COVID-19 has changed the way they shop.

The British Motor Show CEO, Andy Entwistle, said: “For us, it’s fantastic to have a brand like cinch involved for such a sustainable period of time. The long-term commitment is a solid testimony to the importance of the show to the UK automotive sector and demonstrates the shared belief that the event will deliver in terms of footfall and visibility.

“The partnership with cinch gives us a solid base to deliver an amazing show in 2021 and grow the event over the next five years. It also demonstrates that The British Motor Show is serious about helping consumers find their next car and helping exhibitors sell their vehicles.

“Just as we are forging our way forward delivering new concepts in motor shows and engaging with consumers, cinch is offering consumers a new way to acquire their next car.”

The organisers are expecting over 50,000 visitors through the doors of Farnborough International between August 19-22, 2021, dates which have been chosen to coincide with school holidays and make it as accessible as possible for all visitors.

Tickets for the show will represent terrific value at £18.50 for adults or £37 for families.

Exhibitors who would like to secure space at the pop-up shows or main event are encouraged to contact the team now as space may become limited. For more info contact: exhibit@thebritishmotorshow.live
