A Luton man who carried out a decade of abuse on two young girls was finally brought to justice today when he was jailed for almost eight years.
Gary Ambridge was violent bully and carried out offences of sex assault on both of them.
Today Luton crown court was told the abuse began when the youngsters were six and seven and continued throughout the 1990s and into their teens.
Judge Steven Evans hearing the case today was told that the abuse the pair had suffered had resulted in them experiencing mental health issues.
For years they had suffered in silence and hadn’t told their family what was happening.
But today the victims now adults were in court to see 59-year-old Ambridge of Verulam Gardens, Luton jailed for a total of seven years and 11 month.
He pleaded guilty to offences of child cruelty and sexual assault.
Passing sentence Judge Steven Evans told Ambridge: “You caused life long damage to children who are now adults. You ruined the lives of two human beings.”
His name will go on the sex offenders register for life and he was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order.
