Police are appealing for information following a robbery in Luton

At around 3.30pm on Tuesday January 5, an elderly man was assaulted and had his wallet taken on Grove Road.

The offender is described as a tall man wearing a black hoodie and it is believed that he ran in the direction of Ashburnham Road after the incident. 

Detective Constable Tracey Joyce from Bedfordshire Police’s Crime Investigation Team, said: “This incident has left the elderly victim injured and very shaken.

“The offender has taken advantage of one of the most vulnerable people in our society and we want to make sure we bring our victim justice and ensure our streets are safer for the whole community.

“I am urging anyone who witnessed this incident or has information about the offender to please get in touch with us.”
