Reports are coming in of a huge police operation at Greensbury Farm, Bolnhurst.
A large number of police, backed by a helicopter were involved in an overnight raid on a former farm building on Thurleigh Road.
Several men from the unit were chased across fields by the police using torches to light their way.
Thurleigh Road was closed for several hours this morning (Wednesday January 12) as the operation unfolded.
It is believed that the police were alerted by the energy supply company, who had received complaints from local residents about power outages that hadn’t been experienced previously.
Residents had also observed an electrical contractor working in the premises, and they believe the unit was illegally hooked up to the supply.
The situation is ongoing.
