MK man remanded in custody accused of murdering his wife

A husband appeared at Luton Crown Court on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, charged with the murder of his wife at a house in Milton Keynes.

Anil Gill, aged 46, is accused of killing 43-year-old Ranjit Gill at their semi-detached home in Beresford Close, Emerson Valley in the city.

She was found by police when they were called there on Sunday, January 31, in the morning.

Her family are being supported by specially trained officers.

Gill appeared in the dock wearing a grey tracksuit and Covid mask.

Giles Cockings QC, defending, made no application for bail during the ten minute hearing.

Judge Lynn Tayton QC remanded Gill in custody for plea hearing on April 21.

A trial date was set for August 31.
