A short series of cruises have been announced this summer on John Bunyan Boat.
The season starts on Bank Holiday Monday, May 31, with four 45-minute cruises running from Sovereign’s Quay along the Embankment.
It’s the perfect way to try the John Bunyan Boat for the first time, and is great for families with young children.
To ensure the boat can comply with Social Distancing guidelines, capacity will be limited to 12 passengers.
Departure from Sovereign’s Quay at 10.45am, 12.00pm, 1.45pm & 3.00pm.
(Boarding the John Bunyan will take place 15 minutes before the departure times).
Adult £6, Concession £5, Child £4 per person and Family ticket £14 (2 Adult & 2 Children under sixteen).
It is advisable to book in advance as these cruises are very popular.
Sovereign’s Quay is next to The Star Rowing Club, close to the Riverside leisure complex.
In June, there will be two-hour afternoon cruises on Thursdays and Sundays from Sovereign’s Quay. Again restricted to 12 passengers, which bookings for tables of 2 or 4 people only.
Prices are £26 for a table for 2, or £52 for a table of 4.

The 50-passenger John Bunyan Boat was launched at Priory Marina, Bedford on July 5, 2013, and since that date has carried over 45,000 passengers. It has run over 160 cruises a season: a mixture of public cruises, special cruises such as Jazz, Afternoon Tea & Lunch cruises, Fish & Chip Suppers, and charter cruises for celebrations, family parties, wedding cruises, local organisations, local companies, schools and youth groups. www.johnbunyanboat.org
The Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway Trust was established in 1995 to promote a new 16 mile Waterway Park connecting the Grand Union Canal in Milton Keynes to the Great Ouse in Bedford. The Trust is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. Its role is one of advocacy for the Waterway Park.
