Witness appeal launched following assault outside Luton fast food restaurant
Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted outside a McDonald’s restaurant in Luton.

At around 7pm on Friday, April 23, 2021, two men were engaged in an argument in the car park of the restaurant in Chaul End, when one assaulted the other, punching him to the face and kicking him on the ground.

The offender then left the scene and returned shortly after, arming himself with a metal weapon, believed to be knife, from the boot of his vehicle, and further threatening the victim with violence.

PC Amy Craig, from the force’s Crime Investigation Team, said: “While our enquiries are at an early stage, we believe the victim was specifically targeted in this shocking incident, which has left them badly shaken.

“We know that members of the public assisted the victim and shielded him from the offender, and we’d like to speak with them as soon as possible.

“Also, if anyone has dashcam footage which might be relevant, or any other details which can help with our enquiries, please get in touch.”
