A Bedfordshire man was charged with terrorism offences on Thursday, May 27, 2021, following an investigation by the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (ERSOU).
Mohammed Saleem, 20, of Montrose Avenue, Luton, was arrested by detectives from ERSOU’s Counter Terrorism Policing unit on May 27, 2020 on suspicion of possessing information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, contrary to Section 58 of the Terrorism Act (2000).
He was further interviewed yesterday and subsequently charged with six counts of possessing information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, contrary to Section 58 of the Terrorism Act (2000).
He was bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on June 10.
