Robert Reynolds: August 1939–May 2021
SDC co-founder Robert ‘Bob’ Reynolds has died at the age of 81.
With the late Dave Ledsom, who died in 2008 aged 62, Bob formed the Bedford-based building company which was to become the toast of the town and is now close to celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Bob was rugby fan and SDC backed the Bedford Blues, as well as sponsoring motor racing as part of its high profile activities under the multi-million pound company’s eye-catching blue and white logo.
A private funeral will be on June 17, with family flowers only. Donations to Great Ormond Street Hospital via A. Abbott & Sons, Rushden.
