Bedford attack sparks witness appeal

Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked in Bedford. 

At approximately 1am on Sunday, June 13, a man was walking along Western Street when he was attacked by two men. 

One of the offenders was described as large and wearing a white t-shirt. The second offender was described as slim and wearing a pink t-shirt. 

The victim sustained serious injuries which required hospital treatment. 

PC Ashleigh Napier, who is investigating, said: “This type of behaviour won’t be tolerated in our county and we are currently following a number of enquiries in connection to this incident. 

“We would like to ask anyone who might have any information that would help us with our investigation to come forward.”
