National Apprenticeship Week – February 7th

The Bedford College Group is celebrating National Apprenticeship Week from February 7, in Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire with a series of online promotions and activities.

These will be followed up by the college attending the popular Apprenticeship Show in MK in March.

Going live on bedfordcollegegroup.ac.uk  and linked social media sites, are listings of apprenticeship vacancies, stories and interviews with those who have started their careers as apprentices and others who have gone on to be among the most successful in the region. 

Among the highlights are:
Apprenticeship award nominee, Becky who is now studying towards an HND at the college’s Advanced Engineering Centre at Bedford and working at Lockheed Martin, the international company which has a base at Ampthill, Beds.

Care award winner Kylie who works for NOAH at Luton, and is in the finals of the Leadership section of the Great British Care Awards in March.

Megan working at Rothwell, Northants (pictured above) who progressed from a Distinction in painting and decorating, to an electrical apprenticeship linked to study at Tresham College (part of The Bedford College Group).

Career changers who both won awards: Kelly of Bedford – Advanced Apprentice of the Year who is now in Environmental Engineering and Jo of Northants – Higher/Degree Apprentice of the Year who is now a traffic engineer.
