Want to know about the plans for ‘Village 3’ of the Wixams development including a pub, a large community building, bustling town square, and supermarket?

A consultation is being run today within the Wixams Retirement Centre showing how the development will become a community with health facilities, a nursery, pre-school and what will be the third primary school for Wixams.

The train station is always a hot topic and Bedford Borough Council is there to discuss those plans.

LSP Developments have been appointed by L&Q Estates, as development partner, to deliver the new Town Centre at Wixams. The initial masterplan for Wixams allowed for some 4,750 houses of which close to 2,000 are complete.

The development is complemented with a Town Park, employment uses, schools and the proposed Railway Station, providing access to London.

The proposed Town Centre is circa eight acres and will provide for a range of uses; local retail including a supermarket, café, community hub, doctors’ surgery, children’s day Nursery, pub, gym and a care home.
