The BBC Music Introducing stage is making its first ever appearance at the Bedford River Festival this year, curated by the team at BBC Music Introducing in Beds, Herts & Bucks.

This stage joins events and activities for the whole family across the River Festival weekend, July 23 and 24, including music, boat races, funfair rides, stalls and much more.

BBC Music Introducing has been there at the start of music careers for artists like Tom Grennan, James Bay, Griff, George Ezra and many others.

The Council and BBC Music Introducing will announce how artists can put themselves forward to go on the BBC Music Introducing stage at this year’s River Festival in the coming weeks.

Mayor Dave Hodgson said: “I am really pleased to welcome BBC Music Introducing to this year’s River Festival, for the very first time. The River Festival sees a quarter of a million visitors over the weekend and it will be really exciting to give local musicians and artists this platform to perform.”

You can hear BBC Music Introducing in Beds, Herts and Bucks every Saturday night from 8pm on BBC Three Counties Radio.

The BBC Music Introducing stage is the place to find the best in unsigned and undiscovered music at festivals like Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds.
