The car was driving off and crashed in Castle Street, Luton Crown Court heard on Monday, March 6, 2023.
Sentencing them, Recorder Howard Cohen said: “The prosecution suggest this was about gang activity following an earlier attack, but I cannot conclude gang rivalry contributed to the wounding.”
The victim, who was taken to hospital with wounds to his leg, did not co-operate with the police investigation.
Mohammed Tahir, 18, now of Solihull Road, Sparkhill, Birmingham pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and having a knife.
He was sentenced to 23 months’ custody suspended for 23 months. He was sentenced to 150 hours’ unpaid work with 40 rehabilitation days.
A 16-year-old who admitted causing wounding with intent and having a knife was sentenced to an 18 month Youth Rehabilitation Order. He had said he carried a knife because he had been stabbed a month previously.
A second 16-year-old who admitted wounding with intent and having a knife was given a 12 month Youth Rehabilition Order.
The fourth youth, who is now 16, admitted wounding with intent. He was told by the judge: “You had an important role you drove into him and could have caused him very serious injuries. You were under age and without insurance.”
He was also given a 12 month Youth Rehabilitation Order. Condition of the Youth Rehabilitation Order include a three month electronically-monitored curfew and a three month ban from entering Farley Meadows.
The judge told the youths: “You are four young men with futures ahead of you.
