A Luton man who was extradited from France to face a rape charge against a 13-year-old girl was on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, found guilty by a jury.
Dawood Khan, 40, of St Mildred’s Avenue was returned to the UK on Thursday, June 16, last year.
He was on trial at Luton Crown Court on charges relating to the kidnap and rape of the teenager in Milton Keynes and Luton on March 9, 2022.
After 15 hours 40 minutes of deliberations, the jury found him not guilty of kidnap, but guilty of rape by a majority of 10 to 2.
Judge Alan Blake adjourned sentence until Friday, August 11,2023, for a report to be prepared by a probation office to assess the danger Khan poses.
He told Khan he must register as a sex offender.
