I notice that in its Bedford Borough Citizens’ Survey of 2023 that the authority has fallen into the trap of Orwellian speak with the usual final questions about personal details of the form-filler.
However, it has surpassed itself this time by offering the categories Male (including TransMen) and Female (including TransFemale).
Apparently it has given up on any pretence of following the science about basic biology and joined in the Emperor’s New Clothes chorus of this self-identifying nonsense.
Further, it seems gender re-assignment (another thing altogether from the “Man, I Feel like a Woman” personal choices) is a protected characteristic – these are things to which public authorities have to pay special attention, at the expense of the rest of us.
