Teenager pleads not guilty to murder from Bedford Prison

A teenager on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, pleaded not guilty to the murder of 18-year-old Kajetan Migdal, who was killed after his school prom in Stevenage.

Patrick Sharp, also aged 18, did plea guilty to possession of a blade and possession of cocaine during an appearance via video link from Bedford prison to Luton Crown Court.

Prosecutor Simon Wilshire said a date for the murder trial had been set for February 20, 2023. It expected to last for two to three weeks.

Police were called at around 11.20pm on Friday, May, 2022, to Cutty’s Lane in Stevenage,  where Kajetan Migdal had received stab injuries. He died in hospital during the early hours of the next day.

At the time of his death Kajetan’s family said: “Kajetan was a loving, joy-filled young man with a bright future. He was known for his love of dance, animals, hard work and caring friendships.

“As a high achiever academically and in his hobbies, he was set for big things. He had just finished school and had his life to look forward to. The entire family is devastated at the loss of a much-loved family member, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.”
