Two Houghton Regis men plead guilty to grievous bodily harm charges

Two men pleaded not guilty ton Monday, June 8, to causing grievous bodily harm with intent in Houghton Regis. 

Grant Melia, 40, of Southwood Road, Dunstable, and David Warpole, 40, of Recreation Road, Houghton Regis, are accused of carrying out an attack on a man in Hammersmith Gardens on May 7. 

David Walpole also pleaded not guilty to the theft and arson of a black Peugeot on the same day. 

Prosecutor Daniel Siong told Luton crown court the case had been dropped against Lisa Smallbones, 35, of The Ridings, Luton. 

Judge Barbara Mensah said a trial date will be fixed on August 11. She remanded both men in custody.
