The Harpur Centre are hosting a jam-packed event in the basement area on Saturday, November 20, to launch their brand-new mascot, designed earlier this year by local school children!
The family friendly event will be filled with activities and competitions to keep you entertained.
Earlier this year, the Harpur Centre teamed up with children from the local schools, asking them to put their creativity to the test and design a mascot to represent the Harpur Centre.
The entries did not disappoint and after a great deal of deliberation, a winning design was chosen.
A life size mascot has been created and will be unveiled on November 20, in the basement area at the Centre. aving
To celebrate the launch of the mascot, there will be a wide array of activities, competitions and entertainment including face painters, balloon modellers, craft workshops and eye-catching entertainers.
Mini mascots will also be “hiding” in selected store windows across the Centre, grab an entry form and find them all for your chance to win a £100 gift voucher for a store of your choice!
You also have the chance to choose the mascot’s name, just head down to the polling station in the basement and cast your vote.
Don’t miss your chance to grab a selfie with the mascot at the bespoke flower wall! All events and activities are completely free.
Ryan Harris, Deputy Centre Manager, commented: “The Harpur Team are proud to welcome a new member of staff to the Centre who will be making their first appearance this Saturday, November 20.
He continued: “We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to the Centre for the event, where you will get the chance to choose the name for the mascot, amongst other exciting activities taking place.”
